Yep, they're really prioritizing cap space. Avoiding all the big name bad contracts.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Flames try to sign him at one point.

He was legitimately Nashville's 2nd best forward after Forsberg. Nashville chose to protect all their RFA and are looking to be in a rebuild.

Good pickup for Seattle.
