Kraken Seattle selects Tyler Pitlick from ARI and might flip him to the Flames?

Pitlick doesn't feel like an upgrade on any of the Flames' iffy fourth-liners from last season, but he makes considerably more. Don't get it.

Derek Ryan replacement?
I can't say I love this move, but also not sure if I hate it either.

FWIW Coyotes fans seem to like Pitlick from what I've seen

He's probably good for 12-15 goals a year, not bad. See what the price is.

He can't be any worse than Simon, Nordstrom, or Leivo.

I don't know anything about Tyler Pitlick. Can someone post one of those blue and red charts with all the acronyms and numbers and lines on it? I won't understand that either but my understanding is that blue is good and red is bad...

He's been producing at a 10+ goal, 20-25 point pace in each of the last four seasons... still more than the likes of Simon, Nordstrom, Leivo

He also sounds like a better fit for a 4th line compared to those three

Looking at his stats it looks like he's good for about 6 goals/ year

Is that pace really better than what Leivo and Simon were averaging before they came to Calgary? Both those guys cost less than a million. Pitlick is $1.75m.

One thing to note is that Pitlick played extremely tough minutes in Arizona, so would expect much better results in a lesser role playing easier competition

Pitlick played 16:30 minutes a game for a bad team and was -1. That would put him at #7 in TOI for the Flames. Ryan was the only Flame 4th liner (Ritchie, Nordstrom, Leivo, Simon) that would have been better. Pitlik would get Bennett's minutes at the very least.
