Which player do you most want to see gone?
Simple: Regardless of the return, who is the one player from this team you least want to see back next year?

From this team? Probably Brett Ritchie or Nikita Nesterov.

Nesterov.
Don’t see the need for a mistake prone LS dman.
We have young guys that can easily take his icetime.

Mine is Ritchie. I like him. He is fast, he hits hard, and he gives it 100% on each and every shift. He doesn't have much in the way of hands, but still capable of scoring some goals. Sounds like a useful player, and I think he is.
I just know Sutter will play him in the top 6. That's the only reason I want him gone.

Mark Giordano is a close second.
The Flames haven't won anything since these two took over as leaders of this team.

Monahan for me. Hasn't made this team better for a couple years now, can't drive the play and doesn't make the other players around him better.

I don't really know. I could easily name spare parts and dumpster finds but really, they're not important enough to want gone.
Id like to see a couple of core moved. But i dont have a glaring desire to see one over the other gone.
I suppose if I stuck to my reasoning all year. Its still Gaudreau and Gio. But I dont hate them , just think we can build a better team overall without them.

Monahan for me. I don't feel like he has chemistry with anyone unless Gaudreau is with him. The Gaudreau / Lindholm / Tkachuk line was far more dangerous than any Gaudreau - Monahan - player that doesn't belong in the top 6.

Yep , those high pressure and meaningful last 10 games proved a lot.

I think it's more all the games that they played before that that proved the point.

The problem is that you would have received different answers at different points during the season.
About a month ago there was a week where I had totally given up on Tkachuk and figured we could get a decent return.

A month ago games mattered. Padding stats in meaningless games shouldn't change any answers.

So three guys who can put up around a point per game are better together when games don’t matter than one plus a guy with a bum hip and a scrub on the other wing
