Default Habs 2 Flames 1

Habs 2 Flames 1

- close but no cigar
- Flames win two, but lose squeaker in defensive battle
- give up only three high danger chances, but a second period turnover at the blueline is the difference.

Personally I don’t think it’s Tkachuk’s speed or skating that is the big problem. Tonight’s game was not exactly a track meet, exactly the type of game in which he should excel.

Just guessing but maybe there is a gigantic problem in that room and not too many guys are on team Tkachuk.

For being a non playoff team, it's confusing why the decisions to stick with essentially the same lineup for the second half of the season.

It's disheartening to see no opportunities as with 20 games left there was no change in the direction of the franchise. It doesn't bode well for me this off-season if Tre is the GM not affecting any change in the direction of the organization.

Mackey is just one example of a player that I think should be given some time in the lineup.

How many times did they score 1 or less this year?

Interesting style shift, Flames played a clutch and grab type of a lock down game.

Very few scoring chances either way

Not a fun style to watch

Flames hang on to the #9 OA draft spot

Ottawa winning 4 out of the last 5 and 5 out of 7 trying to move down in the draft. They are already looking at #5 OA and could drop another couple slots if they keep winning

I just wanted to mention that I really appreciate your 3 sentence summaries with your Game Takes. As someone that doesn't have a lot of time or opportunity to watch the game, reading your summary before even getting into the article gives me all the info I need without wading through the PGT
