Blues and Blueshirts Strike a Deal
The St. Louis Blues made a deal today that may help them solidify a second scoring line.
Coming to St. Louis is Jozef Stumpel, a 4th round pick, and $2 million in cash.
Headed to the Big Apple are utility man Serge Aubin, a wee smurf known as Chris "No, My Father Won't Come Out And Play" Bourque, and a 2nd round draft pick.
Although he can be somewhat erratic, Stumpel is a proven setup man in the CPHL. With 28 points in 31 games this year, he slides right into the #2 spot in team scoring. It seems likely that Josef will get some serious ice time with the league's 2nd leading goal scorer, Teemu Selanne.
Expect to see some new line combinations in the coming days...
