Default Hello Flames Staff/ Media team

IMO they are definitely reading and watching what we are saying here.

Yesterday there were multiple pages on multiple threads worth of discussion on Sam Bennett needing to be traded post trade request, fracturing the room etc.

Today, two videos posted by the club from Darryl and Sam talking about how happy Sam is under Darryl and vice versa. Uh huh.

https://fb.watch/4JOxLJhGVm/

https://fb.watch/4JOyxdHl_Q/

UPD:

https://fb.watch/4JQaa7Ef3I/

Now a monahan video about needing to prove offense on a separate line from Johnny. They're replying in real time now lol..
We should just ask them to set up weekly AMAs with the players here or something.

Oh they definitely read CP. I remember posting the thread about the team's identity and boom, the next day or so, all identity talk. Someone even asked Gio in the media scrum what the identity of the team was and I think he answered something along the lines of "we're a checking team that can score."

If this is the case...

Please sell off this core and go full rebuild. Team needs a couple top 3 picks and the next couple of drafts look great(except maybe this current one).

Also please don't chince out on the rebuild and stay the course this time. No more Hamonic trades!!!

That is all

Hello Flames? Could you get Gio to say “We’re a non-checking team that can’t score”. Let’s be accurate in the media please.

Totally.

Trade whatever we can for 2022 and 2023 1st rounder, even if we have to retain salary.

I hate that it has come to this. I used to pride myself on the Flames never fully bottoming out or getting top 5 draft picks (with the exception of Bennett), but screw it. This league rewards tearing down and rebuilding.

Get a feel for what season ticket holder want I guess, I'm not one so it might be easier for me to want this route than someone who is a season ticket holder.

Aside story, I emailed Ken King ahead of the Jarome Iginla trade. I am sure I wasn't the only one. The email mentioned the gratitude and pride I had for Jarome Iginla, but that the team needed to move on and also to give Jarome a solid chance at winning the cup.

Ken wrote back a response at 1:00 am the night before the trade went down:

Stay tuned...

KK

I will always remember that. Really made me feel connected on another level as a fan and formally launched my fanatic love for the team (I loved them before but not like this.)

Okay then someone should make a poll asking if the Flames should completely rebuild

scorched earth rebuild where they trade everyone and pick up young players and futures for the next couple of years.

We love the players, we really do but the thing is we love the team more. Do what is right for the team. I've seen it on here a bunch of times, if you can't sell success (which they really can't) then sell hope.

Absolutely. If the Flames organization regards this forum as a good gauge of fan opinion, and if a poll result could move the needle at all towards ownership permitting a rebuild, then it might be the most useful thing this forum has ever accomplished.

Self importance?

I think it's collective importance. We as a collective are an extremely valuable bellwether for the feelings of the fan base at large.

In fairness aren't these talking points and issues that most are aware of?

I like how quickly this turned from "The media team reads this board" to "WE HAVE THE POWER TO INFLUENCE ROSTER DECISIONS!!"

If the media team is really reading this board, why hasn't Warner Bros announced a gay Batman movie based on my post? That's the real question.

People that work for the Flames definitely read this board.

But, it's definitely silly to think that if a bunch of drunken fans realize and can point out flaws, that a team of hockey professionals wouldn't figure out the same thing.

I'm not saying they couldn't point out these things (and I would also like to elaborate that I dont believe this gives us any control over the team or players) moreso that they are actually taking the time to try and directly address concerns posted daily here in a methodical way.

It's the first time i'm noticing them do this. Normally it takes them weeks or months to circle around to our talking points.

Wait, I thought this was mainly just for fun and to generate discussion. Like, what would you tell the Flames to do if you could.

I didn't realize it was super serious.

But for sure, if they were interested in gaging fan mood, this is one of the places they would check. I would have to think that some of them are at least curious from time to time.

I think this forum has a been of self inflated worth when it comes to Flames management.

Does some media guy/gal likely stroll through here? Maybe.

Are they going to make a publicity video for a whipping boy because this form came down on them? Doubt it.
