Trying to watch the Wings-Lightning game. Had to switch to the Detroit feed as Randorf is now the TB guy. Detroit feed had a “Connor McDavid Update”. Bleh. Pathetic.

What a game in the Penguins-Bruins match. It was shoot out the lights hockey, especially the second period where seven goals were scored. The Bruins won 7-5. Marchand had 4 points, a hat trick and an assist. Both starting goalies stayed in net for the entire game. Check the highlights out, it is entertaining.

It is a back and forth game in Montreal. The Habs have come back to tie the game at 2-2 in the second period, fifty seconds later, the Senators retake the lead. Ottawa has a power play, shorthanded, and even strength goal.

Watching some of these games and how fast paced they seem. Everyone going hard and constantly driving the puck toward the net. Nobody stopping after gaining the blue line on a 2 on 2. Very little in the way of giveaways or people giving up on plays.

Maybe itS because I watch every Flames game but It sure seems like different hockey.

That was a lame and poor decision by Sportsnet to not televise the Kings-Sharks game in place of the postponed Canucks-Oilers game. Fill in programming along with the Blue Jays in 30 minutes was aired instead. The complaints have been sent by email and phone. Sportsnet did televise the Wild-Sharks game on Wednesday after the postponement of the Flames-Canucks game which was the correct thing to do. I wonder why the opposite happened this time? The same scenario will happen next week as the Canucks-Flames game is in jeopardy and the other game at that time is Kings-Sharks, it will be interesting to see what happens.

The Panthers have now won five consecutive games as they defeated the BJs 5-2. It was scoreless after the first period and then the Panthers took a 3-0 lead in the second period. There were lots of shots in this game, 46-39 in favour of the BJs. Bobrovsky played well against his former team. Wennberg scored a hat trick also against his former team.

The Avalanche are cruising right now, they have not lost in regulation time in their past fourteen games. They beat the Blues 2-1 as Cale Makar scored the winning goal with forty seconds left in regulation time.

The Predators defeated the Blackhawks for the fifth straight time this season. It was 3-0 as Saros made 41 saves in the shutout win.

The most surprising score had the Sabres winning 3-2 in the shootout over the Rangers! The sure bet game, even though it was close, had the Lightning beating the Red Wings 2-1 in regulation time. Tampa Bay is now 20-1-1 at home against Detroit in the past 22 games.
