Hearing #Sabres are working on an Eric Staal trade. Sounds like #Habs are leading contender to get him. Not done yet. Stay tuned.

Mtl already bolstering up to solidify their playoff spot.
Dont think the Flames can play ball in the trade market until deadline day anyways. But I think they're done anyways. Get to selling what you can. The expiring contracts and all.

Blows my mind that Buffalo is so terrible with so many high profile players who just never seemed to gel. TIL Eric Staal was playing on the Sabres which makes it even more boggling. On the downswing of his career obviously, but I guess Buffalo gonna Buffalo.
Good deal for the Habs who should be able to squeeze a bit more out of him.
