From Nashville's perspective we were running Backlund as our #1 center who isn't a #1, we felt our wingers are deep enough (Kane,Ovie,Rust) that we could part with one and the odd man out was Pacioretty, Malkin steps in a true #1 C pushing down Backlund and Krejci giving us a solid top 3 group at center.
