Flames @ Toronto, 5:00 PM MST. Sportsnet, 960 The Fan
Let's hope the guy build on Monday night's game. Get out there and win!
No word on lineups yet or anything. Even if Markstrom's good to go, Rittich has earned himself another start.
(not my work within the spoiler, it's just big and could induce seizures)

Hopefully BSD returns. He is after all playing for his next contract so winning a couple back to back against the Leafs certainly will help his cause. Scoring first will once again greatly help the team's cause. I feel tonight's game is a little similar to the Oilers back to back games McDavid was kept off the scoresheet in the first game but the odds are that Matthews and Marner make good on some of those scoring opportunities they didn't on Monday so the Flames top forwards are going to have to bring it tonight as 3 goals probably won't be enough even if Rittich plays well.

Expecting the Leafs to bounce back and win this one. If the Flames pull off another W, would be a huge win in getting things moving the right direction, probably the biggest win of the season.
Win or lose, want to see Monahan and Tkachuk have another strong game. They're out of their slumps, now need to stay consistent.

No way they should play Zag so barring injury tonight Rittich should be starting back to back (assuming Markstrom is still out)
I think if BSD is able to keep up the solid play from his last 2 starts things bode very well for the Flames. Takes pressure off Markstrom and if the Flames have both goalies going they can get on a run here.

Well if Andersen is indeed still out at least we know they will be going with Hutch again.

Toronto are banged up. Down 2 goalies, and 3 forwards and a key dman.
If the Flames can come out and play disciplined, Ward manages his bench like last game, and with a good performance from BSD I think the Flames have a good chance at winning this one.

I expect the Flames to win this one and then drop a steaming wet turd in their pants against the Senators to completely nullify these results.

If I'm not mistaken, Flames goalies have historically played very poorly after putting up shutouts.
But I guess they don't really have a choice here.

I am thankful the Geoff Ward Blender of Random Dismay is taking the day off. These are the lines that give us the best chance to turn this season around, so they should be left as-is, without alteration.

Markstrom has won both his games following shutouts this season, and Rittich has a 2-0-1 record following his previous three going back to 2018.
*[EDIT]* In his time with the Flames Mike Smith was 2-3 between 2017–19 in games after shutouts.

Even if Markstrom could go, may as well play Rittich again and give Markstrom the extra time.
Calgary better be ready for a huge push by the Leafs off the bat. Is Muzzin still out? He’s a big loss for them. And Anderson of course.

In case you missed my edit, it is possible that your memory has been fixated on Mike Smith's performances after shut outs between 2017–2019. In his three losses he allowed at least five goals.
