Default February 13 with nine games.

It is a triple header with Hockey Day in Canada happening, including the Flames-Canucks.

Ugh. Matt Murray is on IR, and Hogberg gets the start for Ottawa. There's another free-spot on the bingo card for those insufferable posers in Winnipeg.

God, I hate the Jets.

So this is now Winnipeg's TENTH home game. They have played fourteen games.

The Flames have played six.

Bets on the first softy: five hole versus open side of the net

I've got the open side. It appears to be a Hogberg special.

He likes a long range five hole too, though.

Maybe not this year with Covid. Points percentage might be the key.

Meanwhile, the Oilers aren't playing. What is Ron MacLean to do? Show McDufus in a virtual practice. Can't let hockey fans forget about the wonder boy.

The point was not made in an effort to whine about the Flames (although as a Winnipeger, I can see why you retreated to the default position of whining).

Rather, the point is that the Jets current position in the Standings is a mirage. They have played a grand total of four road games and won 0 that did not take place in Ottawa. Once the schedule levels out, Winnipeg is going to slide back to where they belong because they suck.

... Meanwhile, this game is somehow still scoreless.

I get that Hockey Day in Canada is going with a diversity theme, but I think it’s a missed opportunity. Should be focussing on how the pandemic has affected the sport at all levels.

How has minor hockey adjusted? Where is it working?
Any beer leagues/adult leagues still going?
What about top prospects? How does this affect their aspirations?
And what’s the impact on the NHL? What does this mean for the future? Will we lose franchises? Will the cap stay flat?

So many interesting and timely angles.

I’d personally rather hear as little as possible about the pandemic during my escapism time but to each his own

Your idea can’t be worse than whatever Maclean is gunna do

It's wild to think that if the Jets win today, they'll have 19 points, 10 of which came against the Senators.

The Canucks have 12 points, 6 of which came against the Senators. The Oilers have 18 points, 8 of which came against the Senators.

Sens should be relegated to the ECHL.

They have also lost games to Vancouver and Edmonton, and have yet to play Montreal. The only other team to lose games v. both the Canucks and Oilers is the Senators.

They could officially send the Jets to the AHL while they are at it.

Well we've been force fed a steady diet of both diversity and the pandemic for almost a year now. I really wish they would've just done a "best of" for this years features.

How has Winnipeg managed to score only one goal on (I have no clue where my net is) Hogberg?
