Default Buyer Beware - Motorola V551

Incase you ever deem it necessary to get this phone, or are looking at it (That guys thread about his broken phone reminded me). Dont ever get the V551. It is byfar the worst piece of crap i have ever had. Everything breaks after about 2 weeks, screens and buttons stop working, call display goes, external dispaly goes wonky, either way. I could go on. Take my word. It wasn't worth the $99 3 months ago, and its not worth the $49 its going for now.

I have had the exact phone for a number of months, and is by far the best cell phone I have ever had.

I can't say I'm overly happy with my Motorola. I had all Nokias up until this point and I think I'll be going back soon.

I know where you're coming from Jayems.

I had a motorola before and it wasn't the worst phone but it was by far and away not the best, it was in the lower end, I wasn't too happy I traded my Nokia for it, but not I have an Lg and it's workin great, so I'd say Lg is a good phone, they should provide some games on it though, I had to buy'em all, Nhl 2005 on a cell phone is hard

My V710 sucks ass. It's agreat looking phone, with amazing features. But the software is so damned glitchy. I've treied 2 different bluetooth headsets and it drops my calls all the time. Anyone else have this phone?

That might be because Bluetooth as an RF method isn't very reliable. Attenuation patterns are rediculous for that.. the expectation of more than 1 meter of range is almost too much. Plus if you're going through the human body (mostly water) you attenuate a signal even more!

Could be that the phone sucks balls though.

If you ever run into an official motorola tech, see what kind of phone he uses, odds are it won't be motorola.

I've had lots of problems with the memory card. Files always seem to end up corrupted either coming from the phone or from my PC. I can't seem to find any logical reason for it, but then again I'm far from an expert in hardware like this.

I've basically just given up hope on that and use very few of the phone's extra features. As a phone, however, I find it very good.

I have that phone and really like it, mind you I have never used the bluetooth. But other than that, I get great reception and it has some features I really like.

Only complaint is that it is a little bigger than some other phones.
