The 'Stanley Cup winning goalies' quiz
Can you name every NHL goalie in the post-expansion era to win the Stanley Cup? Quiz clue: Year / Team. Good luck!
https://www.yardbarker.com/nhl/artic...z/s1__29299589
I managed 41 out of 54
Got the early years from 68 to 91 right and then had a brain freeze on some the years after that.

They seem to have 2004 wrong... or maybe I just don't know how to spell "Kiprusoff"...

54/54, easy-peasy. Only one that really tripped me up was 2010, because I forgot how to spell his name. I looked him up afterward, surprised he was still playing in the NHL as of a couple years ago; seemed like he just vanished into the ether after winning that first cup with Chicago.

I got 50.
Only really missed the second parts of tandems and remembered the 68 Habs goalie right after I clicked submit.

I got every one in my lifetime except for Barrasso's backup.
I also didn't know Cheevers' backup and the first two Montreal goalies.

51 out of 54. My Habs knowledge does not go back to the 60s. And 1991 threw me way off. I thought was ##### in for all those. Man that one goalie just faded from my memory completely. I was like Who? Woooooowwww okay.

And that wasn't memorable enough for me to recall. Not saying he was a terrible goalie, just that I forgot he even played in the NHL as recent as 2019.
There's a recency bias in my memory, in that I don't remember hockey post-2010ish as well as I do beforehand. I know it's weird; I guess it's just a function of how much of a fan I was when I was younger vs. now. E.g. months ago I played a trivia game not unlike this one where it was simply "name all the Cup winning teams in reverse chronological order, as far back as you can". I taunted my friends before we started "I might screw up on one of the recent ones, but if I can get past 2010 you're all screwed because it'll be clear sailing to the early '70s". And sure enough I had to really think hard about 2010-2015, but I was on cruise control to 1972ish. Ended up getting them all right back to '54 or '53.

40/54 - I was able to get all of the ones in the left column (since I was old enough to remember those years), but didn't do great on the right column (only got the big names from 70's Montreal, late 80's Oilers and of course the Flames).

52!
Had no idea on 72 BOS and 69 MTL... took me awhile to remember the Chicago goalies from the 2010's, and had to guess on 68 MTL.

51. 2 of my misses i knew but simply couldnt recall the names, yet i could visualize them.
I impressed myself as recall has been getting more and more difficult in certain areas as the old age thing seems to dictate.

Niemi was definitely the most difficult in modern times. I only thought Crawford for CHI.
