Any news on start times?
Looks like the schedules are all TBD after the first night that I can find. Is there any talk of what the standard game times are going to be? I'm wondering(hoping) if the games the Flames are hosting Eastern teams are going to be in a more Eastern friendly time slots since it's really a tv only season.

They will still want 7 PM starts here though.....no?.
Prime time for local broadcasts and all that.

I would imagine for home games against the eastern conference teams they will be 5PM starts.

That hasn't been the case before, except for HNIC.

Maybe i guess...but not sure why.
5 is a very early start for a lot of working folk.....so they would be cutting local viewership numbers on the local broadcasts to appease Eastern time zone viewers?
Why?
Maybe an Alberta/BC double header would make sense, but beyond that I am failing to see an upside to it for the Flames.

You mean before when they had to worry about getting fans into the building?
Maybe it will be double headers but I would imagine that the broadcasters will want the east, where there are larger viewing audiences, to have prime time games in their region. I could see games vs Win, Edm and Van be 7-8PM start time but would not be at all surprised to see 5/5:30 local start times for home games against at least Montreal and Toronto.

That's kind of what I'm thinking too. On days with 2 Canadian games (which looks to be the case more often than not), I bet they do 7/10 Eastern double headers, where the biggest East game will be at 5pm regardless of where they are playing, and maybe a 8/8:30 Eastern neutral start for East vs West games when it's the only game on the schedule. I'd imagine Toronto and Montreal would have lobbied for something like this as part of playing 4/7ths of their road schedule out of the Eastern time zone.

Maybe they are still waiting for all the Provinces to approve games. I think ots only BC and Alberta that has okayed games so far.

All times local for some reason.
Steinberg already had to amend his tweet because he misread the times.

I’ve never been more excited about a scheduling detail (in Ontario).

Pretty good schedule all in all for us East coasters. I always hate the 8pm mountain starts. 7pm works ok for me.

Oh what! That puts one of those 8pm weekday games in the central time zone, and the other in the east! Fan freaking tastic
