#Flames will hold two intra-squad mock games as part of training camp. January 7th and January 11th.

Much like summer camp, they’ll work like a typical game day. Morning skate then evening game.

#Flames are limited to 36 skaters, so as others become available (Kylington/Zary/Pelletier) players will need to depart to make room.

I don't think Michael Stone should be given a contract, but it's cool see see the team's loyalty to him, and his loyalty to the team.

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
Treliving on Stone PTO: "We want to have as much depth at every position that we can. Mike's been a guy that we know. He's been training and skating with our group all offseason here."

Treliving: "I think you're going to need a lot of bodies. We'll see how camp progresses. There's no contract or anything finalized with Mike. When you look at the shortness of the season, how compact things are, I think you're going to need 10, 11 NHL-ready defensemen."

#Flames coaching staff will return the same way the playoffs ended, with the addition of Jason LaBarbera as goaltending coach.

Ray Edwards will remain part of the coaching staff.

GM Treliving on lines: “I think you’ll see some new combinations to start.”

Says it has been a constant discussion since the playoffs ended. #Flames

Parsons was so exciting coming out of the WJC and his stellar college career but it's just been a nightmare for him ever since

A locally-based NHLer without a contract? Seems logical.

Me thinks you're thinking of Gillies.

Parsons wasn't in the WJC (Edit: he was and had a .917 in 5 starts) and played with Tkachuk on the Knights in their OHL title.

Would like to see Brendan Perlini on a PTO:

https://www.eliteprospects.com/playe...rendan-perlini

LW/C with some decent goal scoring in his career (minus last year with Detroit).

I think you meant Stellar ohl career.

It's just another example of how us fans shouldn't really ever get excited unless a goalie prospect impresses at the AHL level. Everything before is simply tablestakes and not actual indicators of potential nhl success.
