Exclamation [Video] Monahan's 2019/2020 Highlights. UPDATE: Part 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzYQOTP8QRs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcCDwVFUTTk

2019-2020 Stats:
In 70 games: 22 goals + 26 assists = 48 points.
In 10 playoff games: 2 goals + 6 assists = 8 points (tied for the team lead).

Typical Monahan year I thought despite the shuffling lines, though putting this together I noticed his physicality was way up. Lots of surprisingly big hits in this video IMO. Monahan and Backlund actually seemed to have good chemistry when they were on a line together. I have a sneaking suspicion we might see Gaudreau - Monahan - Leivo this year if they choose to use Lindholm elsewhere.

I'll have Monahan Part 2 out tomorrow likely (but will just post it in this thread and updated the title). Then I want to put together either Backlund or Mangiapane, Gio, Lucic, Gaudreau, and Mangiapane or Backlund. Which of those 2 players do people want next?

Videos completed this off-season:
Andersson
Bennett Regular Season
Bennett Playoffs
Dube
Lindholm Part 1
Lindholm Part 2
Monahan Part 1
Monahan Part 2
Tkachuk Part 1
Tkachuk Part 2

Backlund needs a highlight reel from last year. Some unreal goals and plays... Also Gaudreau IMO makes for a great reel, even on an off year. Thanks AC!

So pumped for the 2021 year of the fanless bounce back for Gaudreau and Monahan. It is clear that Monahan added a physical element to his game, which is the thing people said was the missing piece before last season. Now it's "this guy can't skate with the puck" and "he has no defensive awareness". It's nonsense. Pure garbage to do the garbage man like that after his seventh year with the team.

That net front battle with del Zotto in Anaheim for the Stone goal was awesome. Gonna be a great 2021 for Monny.

AC thanks again man! So stoked for the season after watching that. These highlight videos are even more appreciated this year with no hockey on during the winter so far.

I’m pretty excited for Monahan this year. He’s likely coming in with a chip on his shoulder as last year was a bit of a rough one for him. Even in saying that though, his production “floor” was still a remarkable sign of his consistency. Heck of a player.

Thanks AC!

Backlund was on fire for about 10-15 games. He was just an absolute beast scoring goals almost nightly. Never seen the guy step up to that level before.

I expect some big bounce back from our top line this season.

When Monahan drive or hold the puck a little bit and make a good play, it adds totally new dimention to our first line. I wish he could do those things constantly.
But his game reading, positioning and finishing is one of the best.

Here's Part 2:

Backlund is up next! With a scheduled start date I'm hoping to have the bulk of the remaining videos out before then... but some will definitely come during the year.
10 planned still: Backlund, Gio, Lucic, Gaudreau, Mangiapane, OT Wins, Comeback Wins, Rookies, Hanifin, Brodie. I've also had requests for Rittich again as well as Derek Ryan.
