Moving - Any Movers Recommendations?

We have bought a new house and it seems like every paroled criminal has bought a cube truck and is advertising on Kijiji to move you.

Is there anyone on this board that has a recommendation on a good mover within Calgary?

Just booked Calgary Movers Pro for my move at the end of the month.

They charge $119/hour for a two-man crew and a medium truck. One of the few places that doesn't charge a travel time fee.

They have a 4.7 rating on Google. I'll let you know if they are any good...

I can second this.

We’ve used these guys twice and they are a good budget option IMO. We appreciated having them move the heavy, bulky furniture through tight corners. Billing is just based on time so I’d suggest having everything ready to go if you want to keep costs under control. And they’re happy to let you help them load / unload the straightforward boxes and furniture if you want to pitch in yourself and save some time.

If you have anything that’s especially fragile I would still suggest flagging it or moving it yourself if you can, just to be safe.

I used Highland Moving and Storage. Didn't do anything with the Storage aspect of the company, but the Moving part was top notch. 3 guys for our 2 bedroom apt, and they busted butt. Was highly impressed with them.

I've used MiBox for storage, but I filled it myself.

They come and drop the container off, you fill it, they take it away and deliver it or store it. Great customer service.

Second Highland Moving. 4 guys come job is done in half the time. Great moving no damage or issues.

Do NOT use Real Estate movers.

They broke our desk and scratched our floors in our new house. Was one of the worst experiences of my life.
