So whats next for Donald Trump?
We all know this election "scandal" in Trumps head will go no where, so what happens now?
If reports are true that he owes up to a $billion to creditors do these creditors call the loans now that he can't use the presidency as his personal muscle?
And of course there's his mountain of legal woes awaiting him.
Has a former president ever been jailed? will he be the first?

We can all hope history will be made. What has transpired cannot be allowed to pass unpunished.

As horrible as he is, putting him in prison is a terrible precedent that will only lead to divisiveness and retaliation. Letting him go broke and having everyone shun him is good enough for me. I wouldn't be against a GOT walk of shame though.

Would at least like to see them all convicted of something that would prevent Trump or kin from ever running for office again.

Good thread. I think he resigns, honestly. I can't see him meandering through a lame duck period.

I think him and anybody particularly close are scouring through books trying to figure out at way if he can use his powers to avoids a lot of the things they deserve. I mean, there is probably some good arguments to be made for treason for some of the people involved.

I think that is most likely too. He'll be full of bluster and law suits for a couple weeks, and either officially or unofficially leave the rest to Pence.
What could Trump possibly offer as a useful transition to a Joe Biden who spent 8 years in the White House?

Step 1) pardon himself and family for all crimes that may or may not have been committed. This covers him federally but not from states
Step 2) sell naming rights to OAN or Sinclair to create the Trump News Network
Step 3) Continue to advance the Narrative that democrats are the enemy and stole the election
Step 4) Biden resigns after year 2 is completed
Step 5) Trump attacks Harris as an unelected president who stole the office
Step 6)A Trump wins the Republican primary and beats a divided Democratic Party with minimal incumbency advantage

Resign for the Pence pardon and then leave the country to avoid state charges. Regardless of whatever it is, I just hope it's silent. I could easily go the rest of my life without ever hearing the name Trump again.

Negotiates a complete blanket pardon in exchange for leaving the office early. Starts a news network, Makes a fortune in speaking engagements. Starts a new season of the apprentice.

Let’s hope it happens so he can lay claim to something else Obama hasn’t achieved.

Pence has managed to be somewhat separated from most of the WH drama. Doing something like that would put him in an uncomfortable spotlight with nothing to gain except getting to be president for 2 months with Pelosi as VP.

He will exhaust every legal channel to hold power and then flee the country.
