Ban Fiddy Cent!!
http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/2005/11/22/1318522-cp.html
Personally, I think they should be targeting country music for the IQ points you lose while listening to it, but thats just me.
Seriously though, this is so stupid it boggles my mind. If you are so concerned for the publics personal safety, ban driving.

Australia has had this debate over allowing "50 Cent" into their country.

I don't care much one way or the other and agree that denying him entry makes him something of a martyr in the minds of the impressionable.

Not saying rap requires an IQ, I just hate country, thats all.
And if this was REALLY a safety issue because he is a felon, half of the NBA would never set foot in Toronto. I just wish the politicians would say what the real issue is. Hhaahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Oh, that last statement kills me!

He previously had a concert at the Dome if I'm not mistaken... a whopping 6000 showed up for it.

I can tell you right now I listen to some hip-hop and I wouldn't go to one of his concerts if the ticket was given to me. I wouldn't take his CD's if they were handing them out.

Well this likely acts as a positive for both the MP in question, who right before the election makes his stand against violence, while "fiddy" gains a boatload of free publicity, and his target audience now wants to see the hard done by gangster even more.
I have little respect for this clown though, someone who is able to gain respect from a community which he has already taken so much from.

Depends what kind of Rap your talking about... I hate Fiddy Cent as much as anyone, along with all that pop music crrrap... I think any form of modern day pop -- Country, Rock, Rap is gonna lower your IQ...
But there's lots of guys who have taken Hip Hop to higher levels with amazing lyrics and rhymes and great beats cut up on turntables rather then over produced by some dude who also makes music for Brittney Spears et al....
To me there's a huge gap between Pop Rap and Hip Hop...
