Holmstrom To Master the Flying V
After asking for a trade last week, Tomas Holmstrom got his wish and is on his way to Disney Land.
We wish Tomas all the best. He was a great competitor but his pending UFA status made him movable.
Coming back to the Bolts are some younger legs in the form of Niklas Hagman. Hagman plays a solid 2 way game and should fill the hole that Holmstrom left on the left side.
A 3rd round pick was also sent to the Ducks in the transaction.
In other news. Tampa has announced that, with the departure of Assistant captain Holmstrom, Jason Strudwick will now wear an A along with Greg Johnson, while Curtis Brown retains the C.
Droopy had these words to say about Strudwick.
"Jason has really come a long way with this team. He has been on waivers a couple of times and has battled back. He has always put the team in front of himself. He is well liked by all the guys in the room and is a guy you want going to war with you. His versatility and ability to play D as well as wing has made him a valuable member of the team.
