Unless it is a bargain, that probably means the end to Nugent Hopkins.

Hmm. Wonder what the AAV is going to be. They needed help at centre.

Pretty decent signing for the Oilers who have pretty awful depth. I would assume he plays top line next to McDavid, right? That's how the do it? Use any center depth to play wing with McDavid?

Well they did need a 4th line center.

That's a good signing for the Oilers. What was Turris drinking?

Not a bad cap number for Turris.

Problem is though that with RNH playing wing, and with the defensive zone not being McDavid or Draisaitls strong suit, they needed a defensive center.

Defense isn't exactly Turris strong suit and he was outright bad last season, like one of the worst centers in the league defensively bad.

Here are the Oilers top 3 centers when it comes to defensive zone heat maps now, they really are going to need to get a good goalie...

That's a lot of red right in front of their own net...yikes.

Turris hoping McDavid will get him another buyout worthy contract next contract. The ol' Vinny LeCavalier playbook where he hopes to be bought out multiple times in his career.

I wonder if he just crumbled under the pressure of that contract? He was good in Ottawa. Decent risk/reward here I think for the Oilers.
