I am pleased Murray was not our guy. His game is trending in all the wrong directions. That said, at 26 - he could bounce back, but this is not the time for the Flames to take another gamble on a goaltender. They need a clear upgrade, Murray is not that.
Like the acquisition cost for Ottawa.

Don't mind this for Ottawa at all, but he wasn't the right goalie for Calgary. Too many question marks for a team trying to compete next season.

He is an RFA...massive contract? Maybe but we don't know that yet.

Actually Murray doesn't even have a contract right now. He's an RFA.

IMO Matt Murray is underrated now because he was overrated before. He is better than Rittich.
