The Sharks squeak out the 4-3 SO win over the Islanders and keep their playoff hopes alive. The Sharks special teams were perfect, 2/2 on the PP and 3/3 on the PK. Rimer made 44 saves.
Giordano scored another SHG and Grubauer stopped 36 shots, but, the Kraken lose 3-2 in OT to the Bruins. DeBrusk scored the GWG early in OT, his 2nd goal of the game. Neither team could score on the PP which means perfect PK.
The Predators win 2-1 in the SO over the Stars. The PK was also perfect for both teams. The 3 point game wasn't the result teams in the standings that are close to the Preds and Stars wanted.
What did the Penguins eat for their pregame supper? The Devils were scoring at will and pounded them 6-1. Bratt, Hischier, and Hughes each had 3 point games. Jarry was pulled after letting in 5 goals on 19 shots. The shots on goal were high, 38-36 for the Devils.
Matthews scored twice in the Leafs 3-1 win over the Wild.
Ovechkin scored and spoiled the shutout bid for Shesterkin with just over a minute left in the game. The Rangers win 4-1 despite only having 21 shots on net.
The BJs use their 3rd string goalie and it worked out well. Berube made 39 saves in the BJs win over the Panthers. The Panthers were 0/4 on the PP.
