Default Calgary Flames All Time Roster - 2nd Line Left Wing

So some details ...

1. Calgary players only
2. I'll look at games played, production and PPG to list options.
3. My cut off won't effect options as I'll go deeper than required
4. I'll label them by rank (3rd line LW) but don't select the player that matches that role the best, pick the best player.

Day to Day

We elect a position, say 2nd line RW, remove that name and do the 3rd line RW the next day.

I'll post a summary as we go along.

Calgary Flames All Time Roster

Gary Roberts - C1 - RW1
LW2 - C2 - RW2
LW3 - C3 - RW3
LW4 - C4 - RW4

D1 - D2
D3 - D4
D5 - D6

Miikka Kiprusoff
Mike Vernon

going Johnny here- with due respect to Tkachuk and even the argument that he's already passed Johnny in some regards. #13 has provided some electric moments in times that often needed them. the discussion for 4th, especially sans poor Pepper will be very interesting

Yeah I'm the same ...

I think Tkachuk will have a bigger impact as early as this tournament, but to date you can't ignore Gaudreau's production, placement in team scoring, all star appearances etc.

Hoping they both light up the Jets and continue the debate!

Gaudreau the obvious choice IMO.

Eric Vail needs to start getting some votes here if you’re going to consider Atlanta time.

Gaudreau for this one. Tkachuk IMO gets the next vote. Though I think both Tanguay and Huselius should also be considered for the last two LW spots for the contributions during their time here

I think everyone needs to vote their own mind but I believe Bingo has tried to be more explicit this time that really it is Calgary contributions. Vail clearly doesn't rate in the top 3 on that parameter- or I guess top 4- essentially one season- and even then though the team had a memorable playoff run that year he wasnt' really part of that

Ok fair enough, if it’s Calgary players only then Vail doesn’t even rate. 32 goals in a Calgary uniform is rather inconsequential.

Franchise wise, he is top 10 in goals and points and won the Calder. Interestingly, he was largely considered an underachiever and not overly committed. Fletcher was done with him apparently by the time he was traded.

Johnny on this one . Tkachuk 3rd line. Man is the 4th line lw going to be hard. There’s 4-5 players vying for that last spot

Gaudreau has done more and been better...can't just assume one guys trajectory Vs. a guy who has already done it

For now it has to be Gaudreau

Coin flip between Gaudreau and Tkachuk - can't go wrong with either, that's for sure.

One of the most exciting offensive talents in the league today and in Flames history, or as complete of a winger as they come with a huge ceiling.

Went with Tkachuk, narrowly, for the intangibles he brings.
