Came across this article. Beckett and Lowell to the Rangers for Blalock. Other notes from the article has Lo Duca possibly headed to the Rockies. I have also read that the Marlins would like to move Delgado as well. Looks like another offseason of salary dumping for the Marlins.

On a somewhat related note, how close are the Jays to locking down Burnett?

I thought I read the Jays were one of 2 or 3 teams that made 5 year offers to AJ. I haven't heard much since then and that was early last week.

One of the columnists in today's Sun (Steve Simmons I think) speculates that Burnett wants to sign with Toronto but his wife wants him to sign with Baltimore. Take it for what is worth.
