A bit of a shuffle here. The Islanders get a few guys who are potential bounce back candidates and a backup goaltender. The Panthers get a few guys that are up and coming.

The Panthers are both rebuilding and building and are trying to swap out parts that are not in the long term plans and move them out for things that are, and get serviceable NHL talents for the forseeable future along with backfilling with UFA's if/when possible.

Murray was the real centrepiece of this deal for me. He's hurt every other week it seems but when he's on the ice, he's a true bona fide top-4 dman at the very least. If he can string together some healthy seasons here as he reaches his prime, I think I come out of this deal on top.

Bjugstad and Vesey have some upside for sure. Dell is cheap and ok.
