Niku is a tough piece to give up, I'm really high on him especially with the Jets' depleted D core. Ferland will be a cheap RFA signing for Washington — he has enormous upside if he rebounds from his injuries. He's exactly the type of asset a rebuilding team needs.

Johnson is 30 and didn't even score a half a point a game last year. I like his upside a lot (a lot!) but his value isn't especially high right now IMO.

An easy yes, even with the cap sent and the uncertainty around Ferly.
Niku is cool but that 2nd is basically a late 1st so I like it for Washington.
