Blues continue to make changes
St Louis Dispatch (AP)
In another move that would be considered to be nibbling around the edges, the Blue's have sent veteran defenseman Ryan Suter off to the Island.
In return the Blue's have received center Nick Bonino, RW Corey Perry, prospect defenseman Henry Thrum who is going into his second year at Harvard and the Blue's receive their 3rd round draft pick in 2023 back.
"We like a lot of aspects of this deal. Nick should slide into our center position nicely which is lacking right now. Corey Perry is our kind of jerk, and should do well in our bottom 6. But we're really excited about Thrum who is a good puck moving skating defenseman with good defensive awareness. Plus he's a harvard kid so he can fix our speeding tickets. We're also saving over $2 million dollars against the cap" stated GM CaptainCrunch.
"At the end of the day we've made some shifts on out team for today and for the future, we're clearly not done and are working on some other deals"
This trade of course will need league approval.
