I am only voting no because of the contracts. 2m X 2 years for Palat versus Hamonic 4.5 X 1 year and then UFA. That Palat contract is an absolute steal.

I think you should be angling for picks/futures for Palat and trying for a dman in free agency. Value might be somewhat close but I'm voting no because I don't think it's what's best for the team.

That was my evaluation too.
At minimum there should be something else coming back to the Caps.
