This is the first one I don't think is a good deal for the Preds. Given the age difference I think Marner has more value, and Zboril is tracking to bust. So there's not much of an adder here. Panrin is a great player, but there is a value gap still here, at least in my view.

Because of the age gap and the current value the cphl has placed on younger players I had to vote no. Panarin is a stud but Marner is a stud as well and much younger. Needs a significant added to Panarin to get Marner.

Improve the adder.

Panarin is a stud, top 5 scorers in the league don't come falling down on trees

On the fence with this one. If it's rejected I do think the adder should be improved. Edmonton has good prospect depth. Zboril is okay but Nashville could probably get better

Also, not specific to this deal at all but for big name assets - tradeblock is your friend. Field offers to get sense of market value.

voted no, but don't think it's too far off. Just improve the adder a bit and it's fine.

either way, cambam8 has been a great addition to the league. Love the activity and big name hunting!

I'm voting no only because I think it can be reworked easily enough. Take out/keep in Zboril but also add a player with more upside. Panarin is Elite. Marner is almost at the same level with more years on his side.

Good trade almost. Keep it up guys.

Open to ideas as I don't think this deal will be approved at this rate.

What type of adder do you think needs to be added to get this deal done? You can PM me or post here

I personally think Panarin is one of the best players in the league and is on another level of elite compared to Marner and will help Nashville greatly. He's locked up in NYR for a long time and had the season been 82 games he would've had 110+ points.

Not trying to sound angry but due to the fact the league makes the decision here it would help to see what type of adder would need to be added.

Thanks

side note: willing to keep zboril in here and put another adder in as cambam is a bruins fan

I would approve this with a 2021 1st (not lottery protected) or a better prospect.

You guys watch too much TSN. Panarin is an MVP candidate and only 28, Marner is a great player but he is not in any MVP conversations. He is also going to have a large CPHL contract coming off ELC. Close enough to me.

I'd approve less than a 1st. I think a 2nd plus Zboril works.

I agree with SJ. A 1st would be overkill, Panarin is elite.

Panarin
Zboril
2nd

for

Marner

I refuse to enter into these debates, everyone will have an opinion but one thing I do know, Preds GM has already shown he can make good trades. I say let the reins off and let him go.

How many deals before the leash is taken off? He's made 5 approved deals and it's about to be 6 with the Eberle deal on pace to be approved

PPG they are almost the same. The SIM will treat them the same. And Marner has many more years of RFA compared to Panarin.

It isn't way off but Zboril isn't quite close enough.

And i think the whole point of reviewing deals is exactly this type of discussion...

But agreed he is making pretty solid deals

Fair enough but 1.38 compared to 1.14 is the difference between "star" and "elite" for me. I would say the difference between elite and very good but the new norm is that elite is tossed around a lot
