Interesting weekend...
Steelers establish themselves as the class of the AFC North with a huge and dominating win in Cincinnatti.
Chargers crap the bed in Philly. Had the game won and get an insurance FG blocked for a TD. Best 3-4 team in NFL history?
Seattle pulls one out against Dallas.
I can't believe the Packers lost to Minnesota...ugh.
Broncos lose to the Giants with 5 seconds left in what was one of the best games I've watched all year.
I'm too drained from that last Giants drive to go on any further!

The Stamps win, the Seahawks win an ugly one...Saints get robbed, (there own fault for calling timeouts, but still) by a call that couldn't be reviewed.
Good win by the Vikes.
Thanks to the 49ers, I lose my fantasy pool game tonight, having Portis get 3 touchdowns (where did that come from?) against them.

The Colts schedule has been easy so far, but who thought the Texans we're gonna be so bad. However, nearly every game the Colts have dominated and there best football is still ahead of them.
Bye next week and then Monday night in Foxboro. Talk about a game made for primetime

Yep, should be a great game.
Dillon should be healthy by then.
The only bad thing is that New England's secondary sucks horribly.
With Brady at the helm, though, I wouldn't count them out.

Pats secondary was banged up last playoffs and still dominated Indy.
One guy that's not getting enough publicity as one of the best running backs in the league is Edgerin James. Not only is he one of the best blockers in the league, but he is having an outstanding year once again. Manning and the WR's seem to get all the coverage, but James is really making this offense go.
The Bears are first in the division and have the Lions, Saints and Niners coming up. Could the bears actually win the division with Kyle Orton? They are blessed with one of the best defensive squads in the entire nfl.

Very true, I had forgotten about Troy Brown having to play corner.
James is having a great year. He's not a threat to go for an 80 yard score anymore, but he doesn't need to be either.
The Bears, I haven't watched them yet, but I've heard several people in the know suggest that Kyle Orton is light years ahead of where a 4th round draft pick should be and is playing a lot like Roethelisberger did last year. Doing just what he needs to and making very few mistakes. They also, finally, have a decent running game to help him out. After the Packers loss today, I could see the Bears coming out of that division....but geez, if the Lions are going to go with Jeff Garcia you gotta think they have a shot too. Craziness in that division.

Colts right now only undefeated team along with leading the league in sacks, leading the league in points scored against. Individually, have the leagues leading rusher, the leagues leader in turnovers and the league leader in sacks. Just had to get that in :P
Can Philly really get by with that bad of a runnig game? You gotta think good enough teams are gonna be able to key on that.

Yes yet another interesting week in the NFL.
The Steelers do show that they are still a very powerfull squad by rolling into Cinci and beating up the Bengals. Roethlesbergers numbers are nothing special, but in the end he takes care of the ball and doesn't do anything to allow the other team to beat the Steelers. The Steelers and Bengals are the two teams in that division that are worth noting. The other two aren't going anywhere this year.
The Pats get a neccessarry bye week and remain on top of the AFC East with a 3-3 record. The Bills sit at 3-4, the fish at 2-4, and if the Falcons win tommorrow the Jets will be 2-5. Who would have thought the AFC Least?
The Colts continue to bulldoze terrible opponents. I don't doubt that the Colts are the NFL's best team, but I'm not sure if they're as good as their record indicates. Outside of Jacksonville they really haven't played anyone yet have they? I mean would they be 7-0 if they'd had the Steelers, Pats, or Chargers schedule? The Jags should hang in the wild card race, but the Texans and Titans are both bad.
The Broncos lose a tough one at the Meadowlands. Statistically the Bronco's really didn't do anything wrong except fail to convert one red zone oppurtunity and in the end it costs them the game. The Chiefs sit a game back now, but that defence still gives up too many big plays to go anywhere. The Chargers are 3-4 and are oh so close to being 6-1. In a way they are reminding me so much of last years Chiefs with their ability to let games slip away that they should be winning. They're a good football team but you have to wonder if they have what it takes mentally to be able to close out wins right now. The Raiders at 2-4 aren't really as bad as their record shows, but won't be anywhere near the playoffs this year.
The NFC is still pretty muddled too. The NFC East is the powerhouse division with all teams above .500, but no one dominant team. They've all beat up on each other to a certain extent. The Eagles can't run but so far that hasn't killed them. After this coming week they'll see nothing but NFC teams. The Skins have a balanced offence and good defence. Outside of road losses in two tough stadiums they've been perfect thus far. The Giants could be a sleeper. Eili seems to gain more confidence with each passing week. They should get better as the season goes on. The Cowboys have had a tough schedule too. A couple close losses have them 4-3 instead of 6-1. This looks to be the best division in football.
Other than that Seattle will walk away with the West. No one else there is any good. The Bucs still have the leagues second best record, but are they that good? The defence has been stingy but can they get it done without Griese guiding the offence? The Falcons should make the playoffs one way or the other. The Panthers will likely just miss out, and the Saints....well tough year for them, they'll be in L.A. next year. As for the NFC North. For all the problems the Vikings have had, they're still right in it. Detroit still looks like the best team there, but if Kyle Orton takes care of the football, and Thomas Jones can continue to be effective running the ball, it might be enough for that Bear defence. Still 9-7 or maybe even 8-8 will be good enough in that division.
