Gio week to week (Hamstring). No surgery required. Flames recall Brandon Davidson.

Per GM Treliving, Mark Giordano is on IR with a lower body injury. No timeline on a return, but no surgery required.
Says it’s a much better outcome than initially feared. Says they’ll have a better idea in a week. #Flames

Good good.
Giordano might be out long enough to doom our playoff hopes, and back in time to doom our draft position.
...I am happy for Gio though. Glad he doesn't have to go through a crazy rehab or anything.

Treliving: The good news is we are going to get Giordano back we just don’t know when. Over his career he’s been a fast healer. It’s not going to be as long as we thought leaving the rink Tuesday night.

Great news. A little adversity for this group will be a good thing. Opportunity for some players to up their game and we should have Gio back in 2-3 weeks.

I just read a tweet that Tarasenko is starting to skate with the Blues. Heck, Sidney Crosby was out for over a month in Pittsburgh. Good teams can rally around injuries. We're going to find out if this team is good enough to play through some (more) adversity. If not, it'll become apparent pretty quickly (which wouldn't be a bad thing IMO).
