I am at work today. It is not the least bit quiet.
Hopefully a simple Game Day Thread will bring about a simple win.

Play hard. Hit. Shoot. Save. Score. Repeat. Oh yeah, give a $hit.

Go Flames Go.

The streak starts NOW!

Probably will only check the score on this one. Sad that I'm back to not caring enough to watch.

No Couture or Hertl.

Just limit the damage Flames killer Kane usually does (though not recently to be fair) and we're good.

Any team that loses 5-2 to Ottawa and 8-3 to Edmonton shouldn't feel good about facing any team regardless of who's not in the lineup.

I'm not saying they should be feeling good, but the absence of top tier opposition players improves their chances.

Sounds like a good job for Lucic.

They certainly can't be taking the Sharks lightly. Worst thing that could happen is that the Sharks get an early goal or two as the Flames need to be ready to go from opening puck drop.

100% agree. Its my opinion that their chances are improved. I also hope they aren't looking at the Sharks roster and high fiving.

I am looking forward to this game. The playoff race in the pacific is crazy right now, it is fun to be in the thick of it.

The Flames absolutely need a game in which they dominate from start to finish both on and off the scoreboard. We need a demanding win (7-1 kind of thing) to get the confidence of this group up. This is a team that has only won by 4 goals three times this season, and has never outscored there opponent by more than that margin.

If they can't step up tonight against an injury depleted, old, and quite frankly brutal Sharks team after getting embarrassed on home ice by your biggest rivals you might as well throw in the towel.

Please show us something..

Next eight games will tell us who this Flames team is.

SJ x 2 ANA x 2 LA, NSH, CHI, VAN

If this team really fancies themselves as legit contenders there's no excuse not to come out of that stretch any worse than 6-1-1. Good teams feast on bottom feeders.

I'm not saying they need that record to stay in the playoff race, but muddling through those games to a .500 record isn't something a team with cup aspirations should be doing. Hopefully they get off to a good start tonight!
