Great shift by arguably the worst player on the Sabres. Rodrigues makes multiple good plays to keep the puck in the o-zone then makes it 1-0 Buffalo. Good for him but he and the Sabres are hot garbage.

So much for the Sabres 'golden season'. Another year, another missed playoffs.
And on top of that an appalling alumni session with two of their former greats wearing jerseys with their names misspelled. Shameful.

Rodriquez has asked for a trade, and these little bursts of ability have been pretty consistent. Extreme buy low candidate.

Hughes now has more points than Makar. The Calder is not a lock anymore for Cale.

More points in 10 more games.
It doesn't really matter; unless Makar misses the rest of the season or Hughes turns insane, it's going to go to Makar for the simple reason that everyone (including those who have a vote) has already declared him the favourite.
Just the way awards goes. They're not going to change their minds unless something drastic happens.

Truthfully, Hughes is having a better year when you look at the over all games both guys play. But, it's hard to change narratives and Makar looks so god damned smooth and plugged into the Avs offense so perfectly, it's going to take a pretty significant slump by Makar to change minds.

Rick Ball is calling the Jets game. This doesn’t bode well for anyone looking forward to listening to the Flames Oilers game.

Roslovic scored late in the first period, 1-0 Jets.
The Flyers are up 2-0 on the Avalanche.
