Agree with everything, except, Johnny G. I still find that he has lost something or his give a #### meter just isnt there this year. Forcing passes into tough areas, soft on the backcheck and the forecheck, and a simple lack of drive towards the net. I dont know what it is or why its happened, but he really needs to find that extra gear somewhere.

Saw him break up two Chicago rushes on the backcheck last night. Had way more puck time behind the Hawk net, and seemed to have less bobbles and turnovers overall.
It's one game, but a step in the right direction in my mind.

Maybe it doesnt get talked out enough but Johnny takes allot more abuse out there than we know about. Hes never had the benefit until this year of having a nuclear deterrent and I often wonder if he really wants one.
I think hes playing hurt personally. Hell...his linemate did it and nobody knew a thing until all the surgeries were done.
Hockey players arent pussies . The travel, practices, grind and long long season wears on a guy .
I used to always be amazed at Loob, Mullen, Fleury, Byron ....all small but boy when they got going the flames did well.
When we win and Johnny hasn't statistically contributed it's okay....if hes doing his job without the puck I dont give a ....were off to.the rodeo.
Anyhoo....Johnny will be fine.

A lot of early complaints in the GT on the unexciting nature of the game, I disagree, the Flames played a perfect road game. Solid D kept the 'Hawks at the perimeter, and limited chances. And the counterpunch offense after 2 bad turnovers, was enough to get a road win, against a goaltender that was standing on his head
If boring hockey is winning hockey, why complain?
Not bleeding a loser point to a pursuer, and having your D carry a game, is a good result for your guys.
Thanks to all a CP, for making a rival fan feel welcome to comment, and special greetings to my friend Nickerjones.
Looking forward to the Feb 15 rematch.
