No suspension for Ellis. Apparently the league allows one team to elbow people in the head without fear of suspension.

You gotta be kidding me. The league continues to be embarrassingly inconsistent. They obviously aren't taking head shots or injuries seriously, regardless what they say.

He literally directs his elbow out towards the head. It was a headshot, something the league says they're trying to get rid of. A 2 minute penalty in the game, and no further punishment. I guess the league doesn't mind those hits as much as they say.

On another note, Svenchnikov scored a lacrosse style goal again tonight.

2 thoughts :

This lacrosse goal was fine, no contact with the goalie. The first one should have been called back, but I think everyone was caught by surprise.

Ryan Ellis should be suspended. If that is not a purposeful elbow, I don't know what is. Johannson could be called in the game, but should have been a double minor IMO.
