FS: Sold
$500 or best offer, must be removed and relocated by purchaser. Currently near Canada Olympic Park. Good condition, was used for storage for 20 years, has tires but is not road worthy.

I kinda want that, but I don't know why. Seems like a great price.

Gonna be tough to relocate it if it's not road worthy.

Should say not guaranteed to be road worthy - after sitting for 20 years the tires are likely toast.

Is that an old insulated reefer truck?

I don't know if it's insulated. I could take a look if it's important. It was never heated so it wasn't a consideration.

Looks like it originally had a reefer or at least a heater on the front, so probably insulated. Definitely some value there if it is insulated.
EDIT: There's so many different models so I wouldn't say for sure, but that looks a lot more like a former heater unit than reefer unit. If it's a heater it'll still be better than a dry van.

Yep, it'll need to pass a pre-trip/inspection. A lot of stuff would be pretty easy, but the big one is if the tires aren't road worthy, then that's a huge cost ($2-5k) to get it road worthy.
But if you're looking to just have it moved to a site then pay that cost and you'll be good to go. I definitely wouldn't recommend getting it road worthy if you're using it as a storage on an acreage or whatever.

Also, +1 to smartcar. Really cool person, and great to deal with. I still remember sitting in an alley parking lot downtown with a garbage bag thinking "****, am I going to get jacked by a CP'er" and being so relieved to see a nice woman, lol.
