The Sabres have a 4-1 lead heading into the third period.

7 more and the Flames get another very valuable chance to help replenish the cupboards.

It's comical at this point...yet Oiler fans will continue to say he doesn't play with them. I hope he gets another 7 tonight...you never know when an injury could happen get that pick in the bag 1-1 game btw

Caught a few minutes of the Coyotes/Oil game.
Kuemper run over by an Oiler, with no call. He's pretty upset, but no reaction from his team either, which is weird.
Also, Christian Fischer has some wheels. He looks like a top 6 player of the future.

Wow, how did Grabner not score there?
Also, Harry Lime, I'm surprised at your appraisal of Fischer. He's not a bad player by any means but if I was gonna pick a big, gritty Yotes winger to break out in the next few years, it'd be Lawson Crouse. He's a far more consistent player if you ask me.

Yep it’s hilarious. People would rather have a 3rd rounder and a toxic player. I actually can’t believe it.

I don't watch a lot of Coyotes, but Fischer has made three plays that would have resulted in goals, with a little puck luck or higher in lineup with better linemates.
The goalpost was hit by Fischer on the play that Grabner should have swept in.
Earlier, he powered by the defender down the wing and centered it only to be missed by the trailer.
After that, a hard shot from the bottom of the circle into traffic.
If he plays like that on a regular basis, he could be a really good 2-3RW in a year or two. This is only based on one period of play that I caught, so your point about consistency is totally valid. It makes me wonder what kind of opportunity he has been getting, however.

I should also point out that with Keller, Schmaltz, Dvorak and Garland; having Fischer behind them is kind of a wealth of riches when it comes to young offensive forwards.

I dunno man, thats a decent crop but something tells me its a something special season with great goaltending. I dont see a powerhouse offensive group for years to come there.

What? A third rounder is better than no third rounder which is all that has yet to be decided

Ok, now I come back to the game and the Coyotes look horrible.
They are Calgary South, apparently.

I totally agree with this. They also have Crouse (as mentioned), Hinostroza, and Hayton, all U25. Couple them with vets like Kessel, Stepan, Soderberg, Grabner, and Richardson, and you have a deeeeeep forward corps, made even more impressive by how it's consistently overshadowed by the Yotes' defensive group and especially by Kuemper and Raanta.

Fischer with a nice one-timer to tie it up.

Fischer realized that McDavid wasn't going to backcheck him, and went unimpeded straight to the slot. Smart.

Well yah when you ignore that Lucic has been toxic for years now. It’s a shock to no one that he hasn’t helped the flames room. Everyone knew the flames were going to drop back to earth a bit but adding Lucic isn’t helping.
Remember. As average as he was last year he was so bad in the room he was getting traded at all costs or bought out.

Hinostroza from a crazy angle makes it 3-2!
