I'm sure the rest of you season ticket holders got your request for payment for Semi-final tickets. Now, I know the Stamps have a shot at second, but I'm just trying to see how realistic it is:

Edmonton, Calgary and Saskatchewan could all finish tied for 2nd. So, for season series:
Calgary - Sask - 2-0 Calgary
Calgary- Edm- 1-1 with 1 game remaining
Edm- Sask- 1-1; both games being decided by 1 point.

Games remaining:
Calgary- 3
Edm- 2
Sask- 2

Also keep in mind that Edmonton is 4 points ahead of both Calgary and Sask right now as well. And Edmonton could now challenge BC for 1st place as well. If Edmonton secures 1st, BC would automatically get 2nd.

What do you think the likelyhood of seeing a playoff game at McMahon are?

Our chances of a home game are still pretty good. If the Stamps go 3-0, they will get a home playoff game (11-7 record: Edmonton's max record would be 11-7, but we have tiebreaker, Saskatchewan's max record would be 9-9).

Here's the way I look at it:

Edmonton may be 4 points ahead of us, but we have a game in hand so they're still very much catchable

If we beat Saskatchewan this weekend we'll be a full game ahead of them plus we'll have the tiebreaker making us effectively two games ahead. That almost clinches 3rd or higher for us.

A win also puts us in striking distance of the Esks. Remember, the last game of the season is against Edmonton with the season series at 1-1. If we can stay one game back of the Esks going into that game the winner will get that home playoff date no matter what the score is.

3 straight wins and we clinch a home playoff spot guaranteed. There's potential for 2-1 to get us in, but we'd have to lose to only Winnipeg and hope the Esks lose to BC.

I'm sending in my money and so should you.

I'm not a season ticket holder but I have a hard time seeing the Stamps any higher than 3rd in the division. The Eskimos are too strong of a team right now.

I'm going to wait until the very last day for payment...see how the Sask and Winnipeg games turn out. I'm sure that BC will clinch first, and it's quite possible for the Stamps to run the table to get 2nd...I'm just going to wait until it's more likely for the Stamps to get there.

Win the last 3 and we are 2nd. We hold our destiny in our own hands. Nothing Edmonton does can change this. Remember that we play them here in the last week.

GO STAMPS GO.

Or, would I rather cross-over and play in Toronto then Montreal.

Maybe not.

STAMPS win in Regina guarantees at least 3rd in the West and makes Edmonton sweat. We are in Winnipeg next week before the closer.

yup we own our own fate As does the Ekies and there fate.

Great finish to the Season. This weekend could clear up some of the races... or make it even more crazy

Still I like the fact we own our destiny. If we get second it will be cause we earned it.

Are we officially in the playoffs?
Now with Ottawa losing tonight, if they win out and the Stamps choke, we're tied with OTT.
Our record is 1-1 against them, but they beat us by 15, and we beat them by 22...so we win the tie breaker?

browna, if we finish in 4th with the same record as the third place team in the East, we don't make it. There is no tie-breaker for that scenario. The only way the crossover comes into effect, which it is right now, is if the 4th place west team has more wins/points than the 3rd place east team.

You could probably take a little sip...

Really, I think Ottawa's loss tonite pretty much guarantees the crossover this year. First, Sask or Calgary would have to lose out - which I don't think will happen - and Ottawa would have to win out - which I don't think will happen as they play Toronto and Montreal and with both of those teams fighting for first...well, Ottawa's in next year land.

Speaking of which, I think it's going to be very scary in Ottawa next year. They'll fire Paopao who, combined with Greg Marshall, is 95% of the knowledge of the CFL in the nation's capital. That Forrest Gregg guy will be hired as head coach, GM or something influential and it'll be just like the John Huard days in Toronto probably prompting Marshall to quit. With all that going on, Kerry Joseph's a FA I believe and he'll probably bolt as well. I know, very much speculation on my part but it could be ugly - which is the last thing the most unstable and least supported team in the league - by far - needs.

The Stamps have the tie-breaker over Sask as long as they don't lose by more then 24
