Haven't listened, but I've heard secondhand that it's an excellent episode.

Just wanted to say that Leslie is a tremendous pro and one of the best in the media business.

Wasn't a fan of him when he was on the Fan 960 but he's been excellent on Sportsnet

Just listened to the segment. It was nice hearing the spotlight put on the Flames. Leslie is a great interview

Glad you worked to confirm this. Huge news if true.

Why be like that?

He said he heard 2nd hand that it was a good interview. That's valid input.

Just finished Leslie's part. Pretty good interview I kind of wish they touched on more outside of that LA game, especially when they brought up Rittich I was hoping they'd go on to talk about what a goofball he is because I think the chiclets crew would really enjoy what goes on there.

Good interview but too short

First time listening to Spittin' Chicklets. Is that Biznasty? I didn't realize how dumb he sounds lol. His takes aren't very good. Already calling for an Oilers turnaround? After 3 games? Come on Paul, be smarter with your takes.

I have always thought that former NHL players are the worst team-evaluators. How many NHL players become great NHL GMs? There is a reason why that number is small.

Leslie and Ball are two absolute pros on the Flames telecasts. Those guys are just exceptional.

The reason why that number is small is because there are few great NHL players. That is too small a population from which to draw any meaningful conclusions IMO.

I was always under the impression that most GM's have played the game, maybe not all at the NHL level. Yzerman, Doug Wilson, Jim Rutherford, John Davidson, Dale Tallon are some GM's that have experienced success who played well in the NHL. I would think the number of NHL GL's who didn't at least play major junior or college hockey is small.

There have been some but the common denominator is that they didn't jump right in - they learned the trade from solid GMs.
