IMO this is more about Quine than Reider, giving Quine a longer run.
Reider is a 12-14 forward, but since this roster cannot carry many (any) extras, he has to go down. Numbers game.

Dube didn't play on Saturday due to an injury, so I don't know if he's available.

Rieder = Lazar. I understand why people want to see him succeed, but he is simply not an impactful player.

Flames placed Czarnik on LTIR last week before they recalled Quine.
Flames have 13 forwards on the active roster, with Czarnik on LTIR.
Only reason to waive Reider is to recall another forward in my opinion.
