Ex-Lightning forward scored 20 goals before but never really fit in well with NYR

could see him being dealt again at the TDL

this is also probably a good comparable for Frolik's value

Of course even though he's on an expiring contract and the Sens are swimming in cap, money needs to be retained because they're so cheap

I'd take something like that for Frolik. A fourth-rounder (something the Flames are missing) and a minor leaguer.

I don't understand this move for Ottawa. Is the idea that they can pick up Namestnikov for cheap, subsidize his salary for 2/3rs of the year, then flip him at the deadline for a higher pick?

I'm not sure I see Calgary acquiring another goaltender, especially with Gillies already looking redundant.

The Flames haven't traded their 2021 4th rounder.

is it just me or are the sens trying to make their team better? This probably keeps a kid in the minors who shouldn't be in the NHL

I think Namestikov will get flipped to the Lightning at the deadline when the Lightning can have the space to squeeze him in at 50%.
