Inspired by the “Perfect” Movies thread. What albums have all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics, and are as good as it is possible to be. I am talking about albums that are genre defining, with track lists that are unskippable, and song orders that make shuffle seem sacrilegious. Albums that demand to be listened to in a single sitting. I think that it is fair to count album art as an important element as well.
I think that The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd is one of these albums. It is an album full of songs that are excellent on their own, but better when they are listened to in order.
Likewise Piece of Mind by Iron Maiden is a perfect album. It is an album that became the 'sound' of maiden. All of the songs are the galloping epics that define Heavy Metal, and the band. As a concept it is succinct and there is not a bad song in sight.
2001 by Dr. Dre is so perfect that even interludes are unskippable. It is as good as a rap album could be.
What do you all think?

For purposes of this thread I take "perfect" to mean a record where every song is a keeper. There are albums I like more that reach greater heights, but that may also have some duds.
