Default Saddledome Press Level - Obstructed View?

I'm trying to snag some tickets to the Flames/Oilers game at the end of the month, and I notice on ticketmaster that some seats in the press level are labelled as "obstructed view". They are generally located at centre ice but the first couple rows above the main walkway of the nosebleed area.

Anyone have any experience with these? I've sat in the bleeds plenty of times but never in those rows. I'm assuming its the railings or even camera crews that get in the way? Is it even worth considering these seats or are they just not worth it? There doesn't seem to be much of a discount on them either.

I believe that there is one camera that sits in the centre (for really wide replays), but it isn't always there. Perhaps because it is a HNIC game, they add cameras and that would be one of them?

Yeah its definitely a HNIC game, Saturday night. I wonder how distracting it is to sit behind it.

Surprised there's a discount offered at all, yeah it's the primary railing that obstructs an entire row and if you're towards the aisle the camera obstructs as well.

Honestly much better off just getting seats a row or 2 above...

You're right there is no discount either. They are the exact same price as all the other PL seats. Seems like a rip off.

Haha, that's so Calgary Flames. The seats are obstructed, the seats will not be discounted, please purchase.

Do they have anything (unobstructed) available a few rows back, or a section over? I know that they're the cheap seats and the railings are often a pain as it is, but a camera in the way all game would be pretty crappy.

No, just single seats. I'm not gonna bother with the obstructed ones, I'll try to track down tickets elsewhere. I agree those seats just don't seem like a feasible way to watch the game.

The seats can be pretty bad depending on where the seat is. I've been to games where the seats are behind that camera and it can be very annoying. I'd suggest finding tickets that don't have an obstructed view, especially considering they're the same price.

I had seats in that section once. It was a few rows back and the seats were on the aisle. The camera was in the way a little bit. It was hard to see the near faceoff circle on one end. But a bit of leaning and you were fine. The rail was a nuisance but not horrible. That said, I'd only sit there again if there were no other seats and I wanted to be in the building for some big event like a cup deciding game.

I enjoyed press level. It is what it is. The railing blocks the view a bit but nothing to the point of ruining the experience. As a few people have mentioned, it can be a little tough to see some of the play when the guys are right up against the near-side boards, especially in the corners. There were a few points where I wasn't sure if there was hockey being played or if the players had all started a sexy pillow fight. I guess that's why the screens are there; for those few moments where you almost completely lose sight of the play.

Just bumping this thread to ask, how bad is the obstruction from PL 5 and PL 15 (center ice press levels)?

They are the seats left on ticketmaster, but I can't tell how bad it is (I bought aisle seats on Flames attack side, Row 9).
