Do the Flames put up a banner?
If they finish first in the pacific, do we put up a banner?
Pre 1994 the division banner went to the team that won the first two rounds in the playoffs.
1994 onwards to 2014 it was the regular season leader who put up the banner.
What are the rules for the current format?

I think we'll see a banner for Pacific Division Champions. Another, for the Conference, if they win the Campbell Bowl.
For context:

Only if it fits nicely next to the 2018-2019 Stanley Cup banner.

This is stupid. Nearly every team puts up a banner for winning the division. Including the Flames.

Nashville put up the Western Conference Regular Season banner which was dumb. I hope they don’t do that.
But does the Pacific go up?

A banner for winning the division or conference is fine, but wait till opening night of the next season to do it.

Banners hang in the Saddledome right now commemorating the Flames' 1986 and 1989 Smythe Division championships, their 1994 and 1995 Pacific Division championships, and their 2006 Northwest Division championship.
It'll happen, and it'll probably happen at the home opener next year.

The Division Champions banner is fine, and consistent with what they've done in the past.
Just don't do what the Preds did with their " Regular Season Western Conference Champions" banner...

Yeah you earn the banner by winning the regular season for the division since they changed the playoffs. I think it's well earned and will be great to see it go up. For my money I'd like to see them go back to a divisional playoff and have the banner tied to the last team standing, but current format this is the way you earn it.
The conference one should only be for the team that wins the campbell. Those regular season conference banners are cheezy.
Hopefully the first of many banners for this generation of flames.

Wouldn’t winning the President’s Trophy mean you were regular season Western Conference Champs?

The only banners should be Stanley Cup and Presidents Trophy.

Toronto also only has Cup banners, but that just might be because they haven't done anything worthy of a banner since 1967.

I was surprised to see that the Wings used to put up Regular Season Conference Champions banners too...
It looks like they only have the Cup banners up at Little Caesars though.
