Shaw's free January channel preview

Anyone else have Shaw digital cable? I loved having the free preview of the NHL Network (ch. 117) (and lesser, more unimortant channels :P ) in January... but they haven't cut it off yet. Anyone else have the same thing? I thought they'd just be blocked out again at the beginning of February, but now we're a week into it.

My dad wants to call Shaw up and make sure we won't be billed, but I don't think it's a problem. I thought I'd ask around and see if everyone else still has the channels...

Still got 'em too. Best channel is the Documentary channel - always something good on there.

Don't worry about being billed - that type of practice isn't allowed.

We have Shaw digital cable as well - and I tried to watch the travel channel the other day and it was blocked - but I just tried it again and it's working again so I don't know that the heck is going on. I wouldn't worry about it though - you won't get charged for the extra channels if you didn't order them.

Yup still have 'em. My theory is they do it on purpose. You have them in January, and you'll be like 'whatever, it's only a month, I won't watch them and won't get hooked on them. no big deal, it's cool for a month'. THEN you have the channels in February. You're like 'cool! still getting the free channels' and you keep watching them so you can feel like you're ripping off "the man"...but that's when you get hooked on the channels. So you're watching them for the next few days, then WHAM! they're gone...but you're hooked on them...so what do you do? you pay for them like a sucker for the next 11 months. my theory, of course.

I like Showcase Action myself (the explosions and gunfights action, not THAT kind of action. Those shows are on past my bedtime)

And they're gone. I've had ESPN Classic and NHL Network for a while now and they are definitely keepers.

My free preview ended a couple days ago.

I loved the NHL one and the Espn classic but those were the only ones I watched. Other then that I just stick to the normal channels.
