Ideal regular season finish for the 18-19 Flames? (personal preference)

			A. 1st in Pacific, 1st in West, 1st OverallB. 1st in Pacific, 1st in West
 C. 1st in Pacific
 D. 2nd in Pacific
 E. 3rd in Pacific

 I'll start. C. How about y'all?

And yes, I choose not to create a poll.

I'm hoping for B but I'd be happy with C. Seeing how many Presidents Trophy winners end up not even making the finals I was never worried about A.

Prefer B, C is fine as well. Don't care about A.
 Oilers wallowing in misery.

Any of the above. I don't think it matters once the playoffs start where you finish, as long as you get in.

Whew. Am I ever glad you specified the 18-19 Flames. I would have been confused about which Flames team we were voting on otherwise.

I'd like to write in my option:
 F. Stanley Cup Champions

screw the constraints of ideal regular season finish.

 I'll go with B.

I think it does matter once the playoffs start and if the flames end up third in pacific it will mean a pretty terrible home stretch. The rest all work.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Why would anyone prefer to finish lower in the standings?
Or did you mean to say predicted finish instead of ideal?

Also, only mods can start polls so it wasn't really a choice.

With opponent draws still uncertain, really the only thing we can pull for is the division. Guarantees us a matchup with one of those middle pack teams.

1st in conference would be nice, get home ice through the West and a wildcard draw.

2nd gets us home ice against likely Vegas.

3rd not ideal as we'd be on the road against likely Vegas.

Really though winning the division has to be the main focus given where we are situated.

I presume he meant, what would you be satisfied with.

B is attainable if they can get out of their own ways soon. But I'd be good with either C or D and both would be a big step in the right direction for the team.
Going from bubble team to 1st in the conference is a massive jump. Cool feat, but nothing guaranteed in the playoffs for it either. It's not the be all end all here. Getting hot in April (may, june) is more ideal.

My preference is for them to win all of the games.

The best teams do better in the playoffs than lesser teams.
It’s no where close to a guarantee, but why hope that teams are better than you?
