DVD File - Trekkies 2l
Well, I didn't even know their was a follow up to the Trekkies, but it looks like it is coming out on DVD soon. If anyone hasn't seen the first one, and if you are a fan of documentries I highly suggest checking it out. It is a fasinating yet almost scary look at some of the people who love the Star Trek shows.

The first one gave me the willies, expecially the woman who wanted to be called the Commander at work. Or the woman who was basically stalking Brent Spiner.
yikes

How about the chick who wanted a sample of James Doohan's blood? That was a creepy story.

Yup, it sure did. Some of these people sure do take it to the extreme don't they?
But that is what was so fasinating about it I suppose. Also the guy who was seriously considering getting his ears surgically altered to look like a Vulcan's ears. Like I said, interesting/creepy stuff.

The weirdest part by far was the uber-nerd guy that dressed up as women from Star Trek and sung Star Trek "folk songs". That was just plain creepy.

It reminds me of the William Shatner appearance on Saturday Night Live
"For god sakes, have you ever kissed a girl?"
classic stuff

Get a life!

You know, before I answer any more questions there's something I wanted to say. Having received all your letters over the years, and I've spoken to many of you, and some of you have traveled... y'know... hundreds of miles to be here, I'd just like to say... GET A LIFE, will you people? I mean, for crying out loud, it's just a TV show! I mean, look at you, look at the way you're dressed! You've turned an enjoyable little job, that I did as a lark for a few years, into a COLOSSAL WASTE OF TIME!
In a similar vein, I also recommend the new Triumph the Insult Comic Dog DVD. His report at the opening of Star Wars Episode Two is classic.

I love documentaries as well. Trekkies is one that's worth seeing over and over again. I can't believe what Trekkie fan will do. I always remember that one woman that goes to work and went to jury duty in a trekkie uniform! I'll have to check out the sequel. It's about the only thing I'll watch of Star Trek as I really don't like the show.

Here's the thing... She didn't just want to be called Commander. Her legal name is Commander as she had it changed.
