While I am extremely disappointed that I will have to spend another Thanksgiving in L.A., I will still have my turkey, even if by myself. I don't care, it's my frikin' thanksgiving too.

Regardless...Happy Thanksgiving CP!

That's no fair! You get two!

I however, am not celebrating this year, as I have a paper to write and an exam to study for, but I am thankful that hockey is back, and I wish you all the best Thanksgiving. May your turkey be moist and your potatoes, creamy!

I hosted a Thanksgiving dinner here last night for all the other displaced Albertans and British Columbians that I know and it was great (it was fun watching the Canucks/Oilers games with many fans of both teams). Plus my house inherited like seven bottles of wine.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Had our family dinner last night, ate too much as always, and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.

I had Thanksgiving dinner for lunch at SAIT Friday. It was actually pretty damn good. I've got to work on a project over this weekend but we're baking a ham... mmm. We usually have to go to Deadmonton because that's where the grandparents live but thankfully not this year.

Is today a holiday in the US as well? There are some afternoon NHL games down there today.

Yes! I got the day off because our government had the wisdom many years ago to celebrate the failure of a man to discover the mainland North America. Nevermind the fact that if he HAD landed here he would've been late by at least 400 years as far as Eurpeans go and maybe more if you want to consider the possiblitly that the Chinese landed on the west coast hundreds of years before that!

Worst holiday in the world. If we have to have a national holiday today lets at least honor something real, hell just call it harvest day (even though most harvests are long completed).

Spent the day yesterday turkey feasting in Alix, Alberta, a picturesque little hamlet with a superb walk around a lake in its corporate limits.

I agree we could call it Harvest Day . . . . although we are thankful for what we have in life.

Working off the turkey before heading home yesterday on a leaf covered lakeside path in east central Alberta . . . . .

Hope everyone had a good day.

Yesterday was also Chuck Heston's birthday. I'm sure many Americans will be celebrating that.
