So this roster is ready to tap it seems like?

I am going to have a hard time supporting Treliving if he does nothing at the deadline and we watch multiple assets walk for free this summer.

Flames have 9 games before February 24, lots can happen in that span of time.

Im sure being in a tight playoff race should be motivation enough, but these guys can't seem to elevate when required and the mopey practice does not bode well.

What happened to music at practice and playing with some fun and confidence?

Worried about this group would be an understatement

Should've claimed Chris Stewart when he was on waivers.

Well they apparently had a spirited practice after the Oilers loss, so it really means nothing.

If Treliving still doesn't know what this team is or doesn't know the character of this team yet, then he doesn't know hockey.

Sell the UFAs and retool the core cause this is not a Cup contender.

TBF, Buddy has outplayed Chris Stewart. The one from 2018 and the one who somehow made the Flyers this year.

That bar however, is low. It rests on the floor.

I look forward to the Eric Francis tweet that claims he heard from the popcorn guy that Gio was last seen being pushed around in a wheelchair while being followed by a priest.

May not be a severe one then if he can move around without crutches or limping, likely a partial tear at worst (Grade 2). Still keeps him out until March at least though I think.

Cali Panthers Fan can probably deliver a better diagnosis.

I'd prefer if they would just go back to:
Gaudreau Monahan Lindholm
Mangiapane Backlund Tkachuk

Lindholm is a fine center, but overall I think the drop in effectiveness of Gaudreau and Monahan without him isn't worth it.

Given how ineffective he's been, I also think that they should consider sending Dube back down and seeing if Czarnik can carry over his impressive goal scoring from the minors.

Overall, this is a pretty disheartening time to cheer for the team. 7 years into Treliving's tenure and it doesn't feel like the team is improving anymore.

How many times in the past thirty years has it not been a disheartening time to cheer for the Flames? You can probably count them on one hand... This is just life as a Flames fan.

Why do people keep saying this? Treliving was hired at the end of the 2014 season. This is his sixth year as Flames GM.

My understanding is just before the MRI was to begin Geoff Ward switched the technicians around on a hunch so we'll see how this goes.

I agree with a lot of this, Lindholm at RW, Dube to the minors, Czarnik up. These lines are just brutal and way to inconsistent from what I've seen the past few games. Buddy is a great story and has worked hard and all that but no way he's a top 6 players even remotely. Treliving has failed so hard to address the RW and C spot since last off season, still have hope that will be done.

Go with the best options at this time but really some big holes in the forward group, I still believe a good core of young players.

Gaudreau Monahan Lindholm
Mangiapane Backlund Tkachuk
Bennett Ryan Czarnik
Lucic Jankowski get a RW with jam like Hathaway, create some energy, hit everything, wear down the other team. Buddy potentially be this but I'm thinking more speed.

This gives you options to switch Bennett/Mangiapane, Czarnik/Mangiapane, Lucic/Bennett depending on who's playing better.

Lucic is now on the technician's left side.
